Japanese law requires every non-resident property owner to appoint a Tax Representative — a Japan-based person or company that receives tax notices on your behalf. Without one, tax bills you never see can lead to penalties or even property seizure.

Japan has been tightening regulations on non-resident real estate ownership — if you fail to appoint a tax representative and property taxes go unpaid, your property may be subject to seizure (差し押さえ) by the local government. We handle this registration for you and ensure all property taxes and municipal obligations are filed and paid on time, protecting your investment.
